The Story
A concept that felt inevitable.
Normally, we start with a blend and the name follows. But this time, we knew what we wanted to create from the very beginning: a space-themed release that honors both NASA's legacy and something deeply personal. When CigarClub partnered with Omar de Frias of Fratello Cigars, the concept clicked into place. Before founding Fratello, Omar spent over a decade working at NASA. This cigar was always going to happen.
The Program
The bridge between Mercury and Apollo.
The Gemini space program, launched by NASA in the mid-1960s, served as the bridge between Mercury and Apollo — earning the nickname "The Bridge to the Moon." Its purpose was to develop and test the skills and technology needed for future lunar missions: spacewalking, orbital maneuvering, and spacecraft docking.
Across ten manned missions, Gemini pushed the limits of what was possible. It proved that astronauts could live and work in space for extended periods and control their craft with precision, turning short experimental flights into complex, coordinated operations that paved the way for the Apollo landings to come.
