Fortuna the goddess of fortune and the personification of luck in Roman mythology. She’s the capricious goddess who spins the wheel of fate, dishing out luck and misfortune as she pleases. The Romans knew her well, whispering her name before battles and business deals, hoping she’d tip the scales in their favor. When you think about it, lighting up a cigar feels a bit like invoking Fortuna herself. Each puff is a little ritual, a quiet moment where the stars align just right, granting us a simple pleasure in life.  In a world where fate is fickle, how lucky are we to savor something as timeless as a good cigar?

We set out to make a blend with a rich Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and Villiger had the perfect wrapper leaf for us. The richness and strength of this Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper needed to be balanced, so we landed on Nicaraguan fillers from Jalapa and Esteli to provide the sweetness to counter balance the wrapper. The Indonesian binder rounds everything out and was needed to ensure proper combustion and consistency with the burn.
