Aperio is a word that comes to mind when we think about our partnership with a good friend, Hostos Fernandez Quesada. Hostos opened a new factory in the DR called Tabacalera La Isla in late 2020. He welcomed us with open arms and invited us in to work on cigars and blend with him.  We played around with some pretty cool varietals of tobacco and ended up landing on a blend we absolutely fell in love with. You’ll notice the cigar info at the top is very, very specific - that’s a testament to the freedom and transparency we have at the La Isla Factory. 

You’ll see the reddish hue to the wrapper, the very noticeable closed foot and a size that I think has become my favorite (5.25 x 50). This cigar tastes Dominican. It’s balanced. It changes. It’s flawlessly constructed. It’s, La Isla.
