After discussing the profile of this cigar with Carson Serino, he began sending us test blends from Omar Gonzalez [Owner of La Corona Cigar Factory - Esteli, Nicaragua]. One in particular peaked our interest - it was already well aged with dark, yellow cellophane and still somehow FULL of flavor. He explained to us that this cigar blend was created for a Prince in the middle east who orders cigars directly from the factory. I was pumped - but also knew we had to tone it down a bit since 5 years of age STILL had that much strength and body to it. We immediately asked if we could take that blend and change some of the components [so it wasn’t quite as strong and used more Criollo 98’ viso tobacco] and the rest is history. We spent a couple months tweaking the blend and created what you have before you: Durham.
